For some reason, display or window capture with OBS severely hampers mouse input. The only run time issue I have with the game is the interaction with OBS. No memory leak problems, no slow downs, no crashing, no UAC crashes. The game only seems to stutter when loading, or taking screenshots, Otherwise it doesn't crash or need to be restarted every few hours to maintain performance. Stability is in this case: crashing, freezing, extreme lag spikes, and otherwise severe interruptions or failures of of the game client's operation. ![]() In the 6 1/2 days that I've played it, it didn't crash once.įor reference Hiccups and stutters are not stability but rather optimization issues. The game has problems with stutters and hangs, and doesn't run flawlessly, but it is stable, and works as you expect it to work. The higher the framerate, the better the game feels. 30FPS in Astellia feels as smooth as 60FPS for the most part, and does not suffer input problems due to low frame rate. 30FPS in BnS feels like 10FPS, and looks like 10FPS. Compared to Blade and Soul, this game runs like a god damned dream. The game runs stably, and despite being lower framerates feels good, smooth and proper. ![]() Most games, especially korean MMOs, will run a crappy framerates, but also do so with a lot of hiccups and struggling, with terrible framepacing and things that make the low framerate hard to tolerate. The game does not run at very high frame rates except in solo dungeons, but one thing that can be said is that it does run smoothly. It's easy to play, simple basic design elements, common and familiar gameplay that you will immediately know how to play once you log in. It's just Comfortable, is a great way to explain the game. WASDQE movement, and a lot of accessability settings. Like instant mounting, and Autopathing that works very well. It has good creature comforts and quirks that work well. That being said the game feels easy, basic, and comfortable. The game does feel generic, which is to be expected as we've done the same basic things that pretty much every MMO bases itself on for the past 18+ years. If this was Barunsons' goal, then so far they have done well. Astellia is being touted and promoted as a Classical MMO, the idea is to bring back the classic feel and style of MMOs, and get away from all the bling and quirks, and gimmicks that have come out over the years. ![]() I think though that a lot of people are throwing this down as a massive issue, where as the idea behind the game is that Generic is sort of the Point. First off and foremost, I know the complaint that everyone will have about this game, is that it feels Generic.
